An online Dance workout buyer’s guide.

If you are reading this Blog, chances are, you’re a lover of moving to music just like me!

There is nothing better then the combination of moving your body in time to some pumping tunes, while working on strength, cardio and total body conditioning, without even thinking of it as “exercise”.

Whether you’re looking to be the next Beyoncé or just add some excitement to your workout routine, trying out a dance workout can be a great way to get your body moving and burn some serious calories.

If you’re feeling shy about shaking your booty in front of a crowded room of people, or if you don’t have the time to get to a studio, Deanne Berry Bodiesonline dance workout videos, will help you train, let loose, and have a lot of fun while working out and gaining a longer, leaner, stronger physique.

If this describes your preferred form of working out…

Then here are my top 5 tips I’m going to share with you when purchasing your dance workouts and why!

1. Quality coaching

Your workout coach needs to be friendly, warm, engaging, firm but encouraging.

Your instructor should provide clear explanation, cuing and demonstration of each exercise. They must be professional, have substantial experience in the fitness and dance industry and should be a completely qualified exercise professional obtaining the acquired certifications to be in a legal position to instruct and give fitness advice. They should provide you with safety tips and plenty of energy and excitement to get you through! AND most of all they should inspire YOU!

Levels of workouts. Eg. Beginner / Intermediate / advanced

Your workout should provide options suitable to all levels.

The training should be accessible to everyone.

If you are an absolute beginner, there should be a workout to cater to your needs. If you’ve advanced in your training, then you will need workouts to challenge and progress you even further. There should be a workout to fit all.

And nothing stays the same in life – depending on your situation (e.g., you are returning after a break / experienced an injury / had a baby … life changes and your workout needs to cater to life’s variables.

You may need to regress back to an easier option, then work your way back up to a more advanced level. Your workout needs to evolve and devolve with life’s changing demands.

Within your workout program, you should also have the opportunity to set yourself some goals within your training. Your workouts need to be challenging, yet achievable.

2. Sound

The music should be clear, high quality and professionally recorded and produced.

Nobody should be subjected to listen to poor quality “stock music ‘ that you would never choose to listen to otherwise. The music should be licensed, commercial dance tracks, with proven track record to make you want to jump up and dance to them. If you would never listen to these tracks outside of your training… how are they going to inspire you to move while your training? The workouts will become uninspiring and unsustainable and your energy levels will drop.

Your coach’s vocal instruction should be clear, concise and synced. It should not be overlayed on top of the music so it overpowers the tracks and it shouldn’t be muffled under the music. Your instructor should be professionally mic’d while demonstrating the exercises, so the vocal instruction is clear. If you have some speakers, hook them up to your device and pump the sound!!

3. Picture and production

The visual picture needs to provide HD quality and should have been recorded with high quality professional cameras and film crew. Multiple cameras provide an insight into different movements. You want to enlarge your videos to fit your screen, but the content still needs to be easy to view so doesn’t become pixelated.

The visual image needs to provide stimulation and should help transport the viewer to another location. Keeping you engaged and excited.

Back up dancers –

Having assistant coaches, are not only about bringing the energy. They are also there to provide workout options. E.g. – when performing a push up, they can help show the variable levels of the exercise. The assistant coaches should also be professional and provide clear demonstration of the workouts.

4. Diversity

Your workout content needs to provide diversity, to prevent you from becoming board and to train and challenge your body in different ways. If each workout is the same, you will lose motivated and you will become board. The workouts should inspire you!! This is also important to stop your body from plateauing to the same monotonous workouts. This can become a total momentum killer and you will be left feeling demotivated!

5. Enjoyment

If you don’t enjoy your workouts, you will never maintain them. Your workouts should be FUN!

Dancing is SO good for the soul so use a program that keeps you engaged, passionate and excited. Why not LOVE your workout program and start enjoying your training today!

Much love,
Deanne. X
